Island Beach Resort in Palawan

An improvement that could be made... The only alcoholic beverage offered on the island is beer... I'm not a beer drinker so a couple of other simple options would have been great.

The... read more only downside is that the accommodation is a bit basic (especially for the price). The air conditioning is turned off in the day which we requested to be turned back on as it was 30 degrees but they would only run it for a few hours. There was an ant infestation, both mornings we woke up to the floor, sides and walls covered in ants (and a couple of lizards).
It’s a lovely place but could do with a bit of an update on the accommodation.

Navi, Ashley, Ronmar, the guards, the whole staff were all so kind - they made the stay even more amazing!

Ashley and Ronmar took us on an island tour which was the best snorkeling we have ever seen! Each of the 3 islands we visited were stunning and most of the time we were the only ones there! They even taught us a new way of fishing off the boat! Best tour ever!!!

Our last night they surprised us with dinner on the beach, surrounded by twinkling lights - so romantic! Just when we thought it could not get any better, baby turtles started showing up on the beach to greet us! We could not have imagined how magical the island would be, we loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to come back again!

Island hopping was a highlight - no other people, just stunning beaches and nature. We had fantastic snorkeling experiences, and we were very lucky to see both dugongs and dolphins. You’ll have an extraordinary experience to have a beautiful island to yourself - with support from accommodating staff. Fresh seafood prepared to your taste. Super reasonably priced drinks - at 90 PHP for a can of beer. And of course the white sand and clear water - and karaoke and volleyball and more.

You should understand that you may not have everything you would expect at a larger resort, but there’s a lot more that you can only find here. Feeling at home and being the only guest party - it’s something really special and we enjoyed it. We were of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and 2 small kids. One of the small kids is on a wheelchair but it was manageable with help from the staff.

Highly recommended - if you’re looking for an experience a bit different!
